The Movie "It" and Fall Shenanigans

"IT" MOVIE MINI-REVIEW (I PROMISE NO SPOILERS...UNLESS YOU'RE ACTUALLY SURPRISED THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT A KILLER CLOWN):

Well let's begin shall we?

As you can see I was right in the front row for the IT screening. I have to admit "Color me impressed". Honestly, I would give the film four out of five stars.

However, I have a few things to float past you---pun intended. First of all, if you're looking for some crazy scary movie, this film has a different vibe. Yes, it is scary, and I got laughed at during one particular scene when I practically jumped out of my chair.

Yet, the film's vibe centers on how the young cast of characters deal with the horror in their midst, as well as their relationships with each other. It's wonderfully well-acted, and left me jonesing for when "It, Chapter Two" will be coming out. Since, they're still working on that script and haven't even gone in to casting, I know I will have to wait awhile.

The good news is, Chapter One is out and DEFINITELY worth your movie dollars. Give it a go and feel free to report back to me what you think.

WHAT TO WATCH THIS FALL WHEN WE CAN'T DISCUSS GAME OF THRONES:

1. "Gerald's Game", a Netflix original film coming out Sept. 29th. It's based on another Stephen King story (He really doesn't get his stuff adapted enough ;) )...

2. "Stranger Things", Season Two, a Netflix original program coming back Oct. 27th. If you haven't been watching it, why haven't you? Yes, I know you have lives, but I know you binge watch enough stuff. So add this one to the list. Catch up on Season One before...

3. Okay, Okay, I know you guys and gals think I'm all about horrors and thrillers....and you're right, but I'm also about laughing my fanny off. So, being a HUGE fan of what I call "WAG" I have to recommend the re-boot of "Will and Grace" coming out September 28th...

4. "The Vietnam War", for those of you into heavier and more serious fare. It premieres on PBS September 17th. It is an 18-hour, 10 part exploration of The Vietnam War...
