So, Valentine's Day is coming up. I know I can hear some of you groan. You DON'T have to be in a couple to celebrate this day of love. I have some posts here that will be fun for couples and singletons.

So, on that note, let's begin with one of my favorite subjects FOOD....

24 Foolproof Valentine's Day Recipes If You'd Rather Cook At Home

The key to the heart is through the stomach.

However, you know I cut and paste a few of my favorites below (in the original article you have 24 recipes to choose from) ...

1. Bacon Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese

Everything tastes better wrapped in bacon, especially when you throw sweet dates and creamy goat cheese into the mix. Get the recipe.

2. Prosciutto Wrapped Cantaloupe With Balsamic Glaze

This three ingredient, sweet-and-savory recipe is a total no brainer. Get the recipe.

3. Baked Spinach and Ricotta Rotolo (my personal fave on this list)

This recipe gives classic lasagna a new twist. Lasagna noodles get rolled up with a creamy spinach and ricotta filling, poached in marinara sauce, covered with cheese, and cooked until golden-brown, bubbly, cheesy perfection. Get the recipe.

4. Easy Cheese Souffle (Don't be intimidated, it's easy!)

Souffle is one of those fancy-sounding French dishes that seems like it takes days to perfect. This recipe, though, calls for just a few simple ingredients like milk, eggs, flour, butter, and Swiss cheese. Get the recipe.

5. Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken

Far from your run-of-the-mill chicken dinner, this creamy, savory dish is definitely a memorable one. Sounds pretty fancy, but the whole thing comes together in 30 minutes. Get the recipe.

6. Dijon Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb (For the adventurous chef. Huzzah!)

These lamb chops are coated in dijon mustard, breadcrumbs, lemon zest, mint, parsley, rosemary, salt, and pepper. After about 20 minutes in the oven, they'll be melt-in-your-mouth tender. Get the recipe.

7. Instant Pot Lemon Veggie Risotto (i wonder if this can be done in a slow cooker. Hmmm)

Forget about all the stirring; this vegetarian risotto gets cooked to perfection in an Instant Pot. Get the recipe.

Are you hungry? I know you're hungry. So, now that we got the recipes out of the way. It's time for something that you'll really like...

BUZZFEED.COM/23 UNCONVENTIONAL ROMANTIC MOVIES:

Buzzfeed does it again! They really should pay me for how many times I promote them on this blog...and they DON'T need the promotion. I think their name is out there.

Nevertheless, I couldn't resist cutting and pasting my favorite movies from their list, and away we go...

23 Unconventional Romantic Movies That Make For A Perfect Valentine's Day Movie Marathon

Love comes in many forms.

Posted on February 8, 2018, at 11:18 a.m.

1. So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993)

I saw this movie ages ago, but it hasn't lost it's charm. Do I have a trailer? You bet...

2. Superbad (2007)

I honestly thought I would hate this movie when it first came out, but it's a great "bromance" comedy about....

Two friends try to get laid before going off to college, but the real story is the bond between two best friends and how their relationship may be altered as life moves forward.

Here's a clip (but I warn you it's NSFW) ...

3. Garden State (2004)

Honestly, some people, say this movie doesn't hold up, but I still find it great and it has a KILLER soundtrack.

Zach Braff wrote, directed, and starred in this indie rom-com where a quietly troubled young man returns home for his mother's funeral after being estranged from his family for a decade.

4. Edward Scissorhands (1990)

If you don't cry at the end of this movie... frankly, I don't want to know you. Just kidding... not really.

This movie (for those of you who haven't seen it) stars Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp as star crossed lovers.

Here's a clip...

5. WALL·E (2008)

Admittedly, the infamous PJ introduced me to this movie. I loved it and I STILL love it, and you will too.

Here's a clip...

6. Groundhog Day (1993)

A weatherman inexplicably starts living the same day over and over again. It's a classic Bill Murray movie, as he tries to get the girl over, and over, and over... you get it.

Here's a trailer...

UNTIL NEXT TIME MY LOVELIES...
