It's weird, here in La-La land, the weather goes up and down, up and down, and yet I still crave jacket weather. Now, don't get me wrong, the weather is truly a privilege in California. However, I still would love to throw on a sweater, and yet this weekend...it's going to be in the mid-Eighties. Don't throw things at me darlings! I know I shouldn't complain. Champagne problems, etc.

As I pout under the glorious Cali sunshine, I will have to make due at providing for myself and all of you lovelies, Fall Film & TV festivals to check out, and recipes to eat.

So, without further ado, let's begin...

Fall into Fall Film Festival - List Three (Movies to help get you in the Autumn mood...)

1. "Mystic Pizza" (1988)

I'm starting you off with an old, charming, "chick flick" with a pre-fame Julia Roberts...

2. "Sleepy Hollow" (1999)

This Tim Burton gem about Ichabod Crane will get you ready for Halloween...

3. "The Craft" (1996)

I'm all about a 1990s witch, and this fun movie about a group of outcasts who get their revenge via witchcraft will definitely get you ready for Halloween and Autumn. It is a fun ride...

4. "Election" (1999)

This is a gem with Matthew Broderick and a terrific Reese Witherspoon. It's a cult classic about a school election run amok. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do....

5. "Halloween" (1978)

An oldie, but a goodie, with the original "Scream Queen" Jamie Lee Curtis. It's autumny (yup, I made up a word), it's about Halloween, and it's worth another look...

6. "Garden State" (2004)

Zach Braff's directorial debut is still a gem and the soundtrack ain't bad either...

7. "Black Swan" (2010)

I LOVE ballet, and Natalie Portman is a stand out in this Darren Aronofsky film...

RECIPE-OF-THE-DAY FOR FALL:

Recipe: Macaroni and cheese

My darlings, a personal note, I was in the middle of getting a new fridge, so the recipes have been put on hold. It's been torture! (I know champagne problems)

However, now that I'm back in the swing of things, there will be a lot more recipes. Let's start with this one...

I LOVE this recipe, seriously, I make it ALL the time. It's from the now-closed-LA-restaurant "Cafe Des Artistes". It's amazing. TRUST ME. Here is the link, my lovelies....

Next edition: some weekend binge watching recommendations, what to look for in the theaters this Fall, and MORE food -- always more food.

Be good, my lovelies, or be good at it...
