Ahhh, my lovelies, I promised posting of ice cream recipes. However, I have a confession to make I had too much Cabernet Sauvignon this weekend, and in spite of the fact I did make some Vanilla Chocolate Chip ice cream... I was far too giggly to be on camera.
Nevertheless, I will be making more ice cream this weekend--- an ice cream do-over if you will --- and THAT video will post next Monday.
Moving on....
The last days of summer are upon us, and if you're as wistful as I am, I have more (insert drum roll please)...
SUMMER MOVIES PART TWO:
1. "Jaws" (1975) - Come on, you can't escape a list of films about summer without having this big great white shark make the list. It's still watchable, it's still quotable, it's still awesome....
2. "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997)
A fun frivolous horror movie that still holds up...
3. "What About Bob" (1991)
Okay, I know I'm pushing it by saying this is a summer movie, but it has a lake house and Bill Murray so that's good enough for me....
4. "One Crazy Summer" (1986)-
An old school '80's movie with John Cusack that might make you want to have one crazy summer...
5. "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" (1991 ) -
A mom goes away for an Australian summer and it's up to big sis (our own beloved "Kelly Bundy", but NOT "Kelly Bundy") to save the day when things don't go according to plan...
6. "Rear Window" (1954)-
A great Alfred Hitchcock gem that takes place in good old New York City in the heat of summer. Curiosity might definitely kill the cat in this one...
7. "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983) -
For any of you who endured (and secretly reminisce about) all of those family summer vacations...
8. "Parenthood" (1989)-
This delightful comedy follows a quartet of siblings and their families over a single summer, and yes Keanu Reeves is in it...for me that's a plus...
9. "Point Break" (1991) -
Speaking of Keanu, I know that this isn't a summer movie. Yet it has all of the elements of summer: sun, surfing, and gorgeous people in bathing suits. What's not to love?
10. "The Endless Summer" (1966) -
It's a surf movie. Enough said. Watch it so you can at least feel as if you're at the beach...
That's all for now, my lovelies. Be good or be good at it...
